The San Mateo County Transportation Authority (TA) is excited to announce the launch of the 101 Corridor Connect Mid-County Multimodal Strategy and is inviting the public to participate in shaping the future of transportation along U.S. Highway 101, the busiest corridor in the region. This initiative is crucial in improving how people and goods move throughout San Mateo County, whether by foot, car, bus, bicycle, train, or ferry.

Highway 101 is essential for connecting communities and supporting the local economy. As part of the TA’s vision to create an interconnected and inclusive transportation network, the 101 Corridor Connect project will identify and prioritize underfunded, but necessary, projects that encourage diverse modes of transportation.

Your Voice Matters

To ensure the needs of all travelers are met, the TA is asking the public to take a short online survey about how they travel along the 101 corridor, their transportation preferences, and what improvements they would like to see. For those who complete the survey, the TA is offering the chance to win a $100 Target gift card.

The survey is available in English, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese. Feedback from the community will help identify key projects for future funding and improve transportation access in the Mid-County region.

The Mid-County Multimodal Strategy will focus on the central portion of the 101 corridor, including the cities of Burlingame, San Mateo, Foster City, Belmont, San Carlos, and Redwood Shores (Redwood City), as well as nearby unincorporated communities.

The study will cover a one-mile area on both sides of the highway to ensure a thorough analysis of the corridor’s transportation needs.

How to Get Involved:

  • Complete the online survey

    • Share your feedback by the end of November for a chance to win a $100 Target gift card.
